Malted Strawberry Balls

It is not too often that I make a product recommendation, but I felt this needed mention. The Hershey Company has introduced Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers malted milk balls.

I have always been a fan of malted milk balls. They are delicious, though like any candy they should be enjoyed in moderation. The flavor is definitely different from regular chocolate.

So too I have enjoyed malts, preferring them to shakes. A chocolate malt is a wonderful thing. Better yet, try a strawberry malt. If the maker does it right, you?ll get the texture of the malt material. [NOTE: malted milk is actually a blend of wheat powder, malted barley extracts, and milk powder. The malted barley extracts mean that malted milk is a distant relative of beer and whiskey.]

One of my favorite ?bad things? to eat is dark chocolate washed down with strawberry milk. I now have a new favorite. These Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers are now the top of the list. It is strange that I enjoy strawberry malts and candies so much, because I don?t really like strawberries themselves.
