Clinton as Running Mate

There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of Barack Obama choosing Hillary Clinton as a running mate in the upcoming presidential election. It is said that this will help bring unity to the Democratic Party and will ensure a win for the Democrats. This is not a decision to be made lightly.

Before making such a decision, Obama should put some real thought into it. He should wonder, "What would Vince Foster say?" Sure, the Vince Foster thing only looks really bad if you believe conspiracy theorists, but, you know, she does seem to want to be president really badly. You know, that 'one heartbeat away' thing.

If I were in Obama's place, I would feel much more comfortable if Clinton had a nice, prestigious ambassadorship to a place far away, like Assitchstan or similar. Her husband would probably help her pack. Regardless of where she was being sent, the vice-presidential office would be nowhere near it.
